Maniacal Pictures was formed in 1993 but had quite a few changes until getting the shape that it has now - Valentin Deskov (drums), Nikola Nietresta (vocals/bass) and Kamen Grudev (guitars). Until the millenium the band makes several attempts of recording an album but without success due to a constant change in the band members and the repertoire. The first full length album 'Sometimes Everything Is a Joke' was recorded in 2001 but it was never released. When Kamen joined the band in 2002 it appears that Maniacal Pictures finally found the right concept for their music. In 2003 the band recorded four songs for the four way split 'Ways', following their first album 'Circles' in 2005. Now the band is working on their second album and recently has released an EP called '...and whispering'.
